Chris Ward is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer. Originally from the North East of England, he is now based on Inishowen, in the North West of Ireland.

Chris honed his craft in the pubs and clubs of Manchester , England , in the 1990's. Since then he has performed in London , Madrid , Rome , Chicago , Los Angeles - and numerous times in Ireland .

Chris Ward has performed live on national Irish television (TG4) -  and on radio shows in Dublin and Belfast . His recordings have been played on terrestrial and  internet radio stations in Ireland , Greece , Italy , the UK and USA .

The music itself is accessible and original. It combines the lyrical intelligence of Paul Simon, Morrisey or Cat Stevens – with pop sensibility and driving, world-music energy. During a gig, the music shifts seamlessly from delicate acoustic numbers to rhythmic anthems - Chris Ward swapping guitar for saxophone and African drum in the process!

With talented musical friends Eddie McGroarty (percussion) and Aideen Hughes (cello), Chris Ward provides a live show of real variety, quality and charisma. Hotly tipped as an emerging force on the Irish music scene - Chris and his band are definitely ones to watch!
